Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

When I tightened the screws, the white paint chips off revealing the wood...Should have included something to cover up the screw areas so that the entire thing looks nice and neat!
Otherwise, very easy to put together even without looking at the directions. My daughter absolutely loves it and the tiny flower window boxes look really adorable! Hope it lasts a while.
