About DaVinci Furniture:
Founded in 1990 by Daniel Fong, DaVinci was built upon the belief that they could provide the best quality nursery furniture at the best price. Over the years collections, such as the Jenny Lind, have become known in the industry for being the “Best” of its kind. To this day the quality of their baby furniture is unmatched by competitors. Throughout the years, the demand for cribs and their functionality has continued to evolve. What was once a demand for simple cribs with single drop sizes has changed to stylish cribs in dramatic colors that convert not only to toddler beds but also to full size beds. It was this demand that gave birth to the Emily Collection, the first of DaVinci’s convertible crib collections. Through DaVinci’s history, they continue to listen to the needs of the consumer and do their very best to provide the products, quality and functionality that is required.

Budget and safety were key. I didn't care so much about looking fancy or convertable features. This went together easilly--I assembled it myself at 8 months pregnant. [...] It took a couple of tries to figure out the knee release, but it's simple. The natural color pictured here looks ash...really, this is the same "natural" that all of my other furniture has. I had found the same crib on other sites with a better representation of color. This is definately the best deal, especially with free shipping! Now that the baby is pulling up, we've been actually pulling the side up all the way and I've noticed that you need to be careful to make sure it's latched on both sides or the drop-side can be unstable. When he's big enough for a toddler bed, I plan to lower the mattress as far as it will go and just remove the drop side...maybe attach a little bed rail. It's not meant to be a toddler bed, but it will do the trick until we buy a twin size for him.I don't regret this purchase at all and would recommend it to anyone looking for a frugal purchase. Given the same situation, I'd definately buy this crib again.
