Skip Hop was founded in 2003 by Ellen and Michael Diamant, two new parents residing in New York City. Ellen, a former design executive in the fashion and publishing industries, and Michael, an internet entrepreneur, sought to create a line of products suitable for urban parents. In the same year, they created the world's first diaper bag that converted into a stroller bag.
