A period of rapid growth followed as the company expanded into manufacturing other types of pads including Crib Mattresses in 1951. Since that time, Kolcraft has become America's #1 Crib Mattress manufacturer. In 1979, Kolcraft began making plastic products with the introduction of the innovative Carri-Cradle; the first combination plastic infant carrier and rocker with a carrying handle. Kolcraft continued its expansion into the manufacture and distribution of other product categories including: playards, high chairs, walkers and strollers. By 1994, Kolcraft became one of the nation's leading suppliers of strollers.

In the late 1990's, Kolcraft continued to grow by entering into additional new categories with quality, innovative children's products. These new areas included bassinets, bouncers, swings and juvenile furniture.
