I bought this bed for my grandson who was turning two. I was so surprised at how well it was made, it is very sturdy, made with real wood and put together with real nuts and bolts. The assembly was easy, the directions were clear and it is quite heavy and sturdy. Most of all the boy really loved it with it's bright colors and the 'just my size' fit. He goes to bed willingly which is a big plus.

My son loves his 'truckie-bed'! It is a really cute bed and very sturdy--I can lie on it with him and it holds my weight. Overall I would recommend this bed, with only two reservations about toddler beds generally (I think these would apply to any of the toddler beds I've seen):

1) I've had to cover the bed rails with blankets because my son hit his head on them so many times. He likes to jump around on it--he's a very active boy and he loves to play in this bed.

2) If you have a child who moves a lot in his/her sleep, you may want to think about a twin bed instead--the side rails are quite short. My son wriggles around at night and we have found him sleeping on the floor next to the bed a number of times. He doesn't exactly fall out, but that's a danger with this sort of bed.

I have ended up using a rolled-up blanket as a soft bed rail and that works really well. So with all of my improvised safety devices the bed isn't as cute, but it's fine for us. I think this was a very good transition bed for our son.

My son loves firetrucks so we decided to get him this bed instead of turning his convertible crib into a toddler bed. He was so excited about it and absolutely loves it. He was very trained to never get out of his crib & we were concerned about the transition but it went perfect. He's only been using the bed for a week now & he still does not get out of it until we come get him in the morning (he has too much fun playing in it). He loves to put his stuffed animals in the front & pretend they are driving (kinda wish they had added some type of steering wheel). The bed sits very low to the ground (maybe about 8" from bottom of mattress) so the bed looks small because so close to floor but it's toddler size (use your same crib mattress). This helps me as I feel better should he fall out that it's not a long drop (some other beds I've seen are higher off the ground). Colors/paint on wood was in great shape - very vibrant. Wood appears to be well constructed and bed very sturdy. So far so good & would highly recommend!

I purchased this bed for my 16 month old son after being so pleased with the Kidcraft Princess Toddler Bed I had purchased for my then 2 now 2 1/2 year old daughter. Though my husband put together my daughter's bed, I my son's bed together all by myself one evening while watching TV with absolutely no problems. I would like to add that we LOVE Kidcraft Products as we own the Kidcraft Kitchen also and always check to see if Kidcraft makes an item before we purchase it made by anyone else!!!

i use as intended. it is worth every penny. don't change a thing. if one, finds it hard to assemble, they should learn to read & follow directions.

Very cute bed. As cute as the picture.Easy to assemble and takes up much less space than the crib.[...]The packaging could be a little sturdier as box was very heavy and was received damaged but contents were okay.Our grandson loves it.It is relatively easy for him to roll out of but good thing it is so close to the floor. This is a good transition between crib and regular bed.

My kids love it, and my toddler whom we bought it for. It is sturdy and easy to get in and out of. Adults are even able to lay down on it if needed. It is very cute fire truck bed. I give it 4+ stars.
