Easy for my son to transition to without inadvertently hurting himself by falling out when he does his sleeping gymnastics. Trust me, he's tried.

This bed is very flimsy. Within one week several of the bottom slats broke under the weight of my son (he's 30 lbs, so pretty average size). The wood is weak pine and breaks easily. Also, after adding a mattress that was within the specified size, the side railings barely cleared the top of the mattress (maybe 2 or 3 inches above). As a result, my son has fallen several times and hates his bed. We are seriously considering just ditching the thing altogether.

My 2 year old loves it. It was a little tricky to assemble, but not to hard. It's the perfect height for my son.

The picture on the box showed the side railing to be longer. When I put the bed together, it was at least 3 inches shorter. This is my only real complaint about the bed. Otherwise, it's doing its job.

For solid wood, [...] you can't beat the deal on this bed. So far we have been pleased. We are not so sure how durable the bed will end up being. The bed doesn't seem to be super sturdy for solid wood. Overall we are happy with the product and would definitely recommend.

It looks great, and is very sturdy. The directions were simple, the only problem I had was 2 screws were the wrong size so I had to get my own.

I ordered this bed in order to transition my daugher out of the crib. She calls it "her big girl" bed and sleeps proudly in it. The bed came securely packaged, was easily assembled, and is lovely to look at. A very good purchase for our family.
