This crib worked great for my sister's baby, who is 6 months old, during their week-long stay with us. I ordered a Sealy Portable Mattress for the crib because the original mattress was too thin. The Sealy Matrress is 3 inches thick and it fits perfect in the crib. There are no corner or side gaps between the slats and the mattress. The crib can be adjusted to three heights, but we used the middle height. The reason why I ordered a portable crib was to be able to bring the crib up and down our stairs, but it was too heavy for me; my husband could do it though. The wheels on the crib are great, as it can be pulled right up to the parent's bed at night. My husband assembled it very easily and I had no problems moving the side rail up and down on the crib. Just make sure the side rails click into position and it should be okay. The crib seems sturdy for a baby that can flip over and move around on the mattress by him/herself. I don't know how it would be with a toddler as it's not as sturdy as a non-portable crib would be.

I BOUGHT THE CRIB FOR MY COUSINS TWINS, WHICH I TAKE ONLY ONE EVERY WEEKEND AND SOME TIMES DURING THE WEEK. I HAVE A SMALL HOME AND THIS CRIB WORKS PERFECT. THEY ARE ONLY 6 MONTHS OLD SO THEY ARE STILL GENTLE WITH THE CRIB. THE CRIB IS STURDY AND I BELEIVE IT WILL STAND UP TO THE TWINS.
