About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

My 4 month old sleeps in this crib and once she got used to it she seems to really like it. We bought it because it can grow with her. That is a big money saver for us.

I love the furniture, it was definitely time consuming, but worth it. I believe if they do alittle re-adjusting on the assembly the product ..all would be GREAT.

[...] The color is beautiful, and the price was great compared to other retailers. I love this crib and I hope it holds up well as a toddler bed in the future. I'm very pleased.

Comments about DaVinci Emily 4-in-1 Convertible Crib and Three Drawer Changing Table Nursery Set in Cherry:
I had spent a week researching cribs for our first born this April, 2008. I finally came across this crib and really felt it looked like the best quality and couldn't beat the free shipping costs and price. I read reviews on the other sites: the wood chips easy and it takes a long time to put together but was well worth the price. The wood is pine wood and does scratch but is definitely the nicest crib for the price. The largest negative was the ammount of time it took to assemble, which was over three hours with an electric screw driver/drill. We got the extra return protection policy, which is the same cost if not less to ship from any other site. The crib was short one screw and CSN is sending us a new screw immediately. The crib also comes with a toddler rail, we bought the extra headboard and footboard conversion rails, so we have them in case the crib/bed ever goes obsolete. I am happy that we bought this crib it is a great value, quality wood and looks amazing. It was well worth the time to get a crib that looks the way it did when it was finished being assembled!!
