About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

We bought this with our first child and I had a good experience with the crib, [...] The parts are all installed as tightly as possible but it remains a bit unstable and one of the brackets actually came out when my 6 mo. old son was crawling around and stuck his hand underneath it. I think the hole it is screwed into is a bit too big.The drawers seem to have gaps between the frame and themselves. Also, now, my son at 9 mo. can open the drawers using the knobs. I don't recommend this product simply for that reason. The drawers slide easily,but a little too easily if I want to keep him out of it and the knobs are not ideal for baby-proofing.

We bought this dresser the first time for the birth of our second child. We have had it for about a year and a half and it still looks great. We are expecting our third child so we ordered another one because we were so happy with the performance and appearance of this dresser.
