About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

Comments about DaVinci Anastasia 3-in-1 Convertible Crib in Cherry:
The crib is very high and takes up a fair amount of space, but it looks really great. Unfortunately, it's made out of pine wood that dings very easily. The assembly instructions on the sliding rails for the drawers were wrong, but otherwise it's easy to assemble (takes about an hour).
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was very prompt. The product arrived in somewhat okay condition - the packaging was beaten up and there were a couple of dings here and there, namely a large one that appeared on inner side of the crib. Since it didn't affect the structural integrity of the crib and couldn't be seen from the outside, we decided not to go through the hassle of trying to return/exchange it.

Whenever we show people our nursery, they gasp when they see this crib. It really is beautiful. It was easy to assemble and the extra drawer underneath is very handy for storage.
