About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

The best quality nursery furniture at the best price. Founded in 1990 by Daniel Fong, DaVinci was built upon the belief that they could provide the best quality nursery furniture at the best price. Over the years, collections, such as the Jenny Lind, have become known in the industry for being the “Best” of its kind. To this day the quality of their baby furniture is unmatched by competitors. Throughout the years, the demand for cribs and their functionality has continued to evolve. What was once a demand for simple cribs with single drop sides has changed to stylish cribs in dramatic colors that convert not only to toddler beds but also to full size beds. It was this demand that gave birth to the Emily Collection, the first of DaVinci’s convertible crib collections. Through DaVinci’s history, they continue to listen to the needs of the consumer and do their very best to provide the products, quality and functionality that is required.

Comments about DaVinci Parker 2-Door Changer in Cherry Pine:
I use this every day and it holds all the diaper changing stuff I need within easy reach. I love the cherry color, the size and height are perfect and it was easy to assemble. My only complaint is that the side and door panels are not solid wood (the trim is solid), so there is a rattle sound when you pull on the magnet latch to open the door. I reduced the noise by repositioning the magent latches so a smaller part of the magnet contacts the metal and there is less pulling force. I knew the unit was not solid wood, so I still think it is a good value for the price.

Comments about DaVinci Parker 2-Door Changer in Cherry Pine:
I selected this nursery set over several higher priced sets because I loved the lines of the crib and changer [I settled for the dresser because I wanted the matched set]. I agree with the other reviewer that the top of the changer is not all that I could hope for, it is very thin, and I too had concerns about it being potentially flimsy. Our baby has not arrived yet, so I tested it with weights. I was able to test the top up to 25 pounds without any wobble at all [I didn't have any weights higher than that]. While it seems as though the top might be flimsy, I have found that it is definitely sturdy to 25 pounds, and very likely higher than that, as there were no signs of stress after the weights.

Comments about DaVinci Parker 2-Door Changer in Cherry Pine:
The changing table looks great but took my husband and I quite awhile to put together. The sides and doors of the table are very solid hardwood, but I'm concerned about how flimsy the changing table and bottom shelf are -- wobbles when any weight is placed on it. I think we may reinforce both areas before we place anything on the shelf or lay our baby on top to change.
