Comments about Cotton Tale Derby Plaid Crib Bedding Collection:
I am expecting my third child and he will be sharing a room with my 4 year old son. So, I ordered this bedding to match my son's bedding, which is [...] Woolrich Kids (camping/outdoors theme). Instead of buying the mobile with horses, I went with a mobile from one of the outdoors sets with woodsy animals. It was noted on the description of this that the plaid is actually black and cream. I would call it a very dark navy. That worked out fine. However, the BIGGEST PROBLEM was that all of the parts that are made from the material like the bed skirt appeared to be a sage green color. In actuality it is a beige-ish color. Its a rather dull color has NO green tint to it at all, more grey/brown. This was extremely disappointing because that was the tie-in color to my sons room! Take a very close look at the paisleys as well. As they are much more pronounced than the picture makes them seem.The red-color on the sheet is perfect though. Its just as it appears on the picture and is a deep, rich color. Also, the textures are wonderful. The underside of the comforter is off-white and furry! There are many different textures on the comforter and I imagine our new baby will enjoy them. They are very soft.I have not yet washed this as I just received it today, but it seems to be very well made. If you don't have something that you're trying to match and want a beautiful and soft bedding set, I recommend this set. However, take into consideration that the colors in the picture are not accurate! And the pillows that come in the pillow set are TINY. The big one is like 8"x8" and the small one is probably close to 5"x5". I havent actually measured, but they are much smaller than expected. Overall, I'm rating this with 3 stars only because of the colors. Not only are they not pictured accurately, but they are kind of dull (except the red in the sheet). If I were rating ONLY the quality, softness and comfort of the material, I would give 5 stars!
